Digital Champions

The Digital Champions scheme aims to teach basic IT skills to digitally-excluded Islington residents. This can be as varied as helping them learn about online communication to stay in touch with family and friends, assisting with job searches or other employment activities or simply trying to improve their quality of life.

You’ve done so well at getting started online - why not help someone else do the same and become a Digital Champion?

You’re the best person to help others get online because you’ve been there yourself and know how scary it can be before you start. You could help a friend, a neighbour or a family member use the internet for the first time.

Find out more about being a Digital Champion through 'Learn my Way' which aims to introduce you to the skills and qualities you need to start becoming a Digital Champion and top tips to help you support others to use the internet.

If you would like further information or to sign up to become a Digital Champion, please e-mail councilvolunteers@islington.gov.uk.
